EMDR and ART Intensives for Pregnancy Loss and Infertility
I still remember the flood of guilt, shame, and grief that hit me when I experienced my first miscarriage.
What did I do wrong?
What’s wrong with my body?
Why me?
I knew logically that there was likely nothing that I did to cause the loss, and there was even less I could have done to prevent it, but those feelings - the overwhelming feelings of responsibility and defectiveness - they followed me.
If you’ve experienced infertility or pregnancy loss, you know how heavy it can be, but you also know the negative beliefs that start to creep in; the mistrust in your body or your choices, the feeling that there is something wrong. I want you to know—this is not something I only understand clinically. It’s something I’ve lived, too.
I’ve sat on the other side of the therapy room as a client, doing EMDR and ART to process my own experiences with infertility and loss. I know how vulnerable it can feel to go there—and how powerful it can be when you’re truly supported in that process. I’ve said the words, “I know logically that I didn’t do anything wrong, that this isn’t my fault, but it’s hard to feel like it’s true”. This is where the magic of EMDR and ART begins.
Why Choose an Intensive?
Traditional weekly therapy can be helpful but when something feels deeply “stuck,” it can also feel slow or incomplete.
A therapy intensive creates the space to experience quicker, lasting healing from that trauma.
In a half-day or full-day EMDR/ART intensive, I focus on helping your mind and body process what hasn’t fully resolved so you’re not carrying it in the same way anymore.
This might include pregnancy loss or miscarriage, infertility, IVF, or medical trauma, anxiety around trying again or fear of future loss, feeling disconnected from your body or sense of self, or even beginning to process what life might look like without the child you’ve been waiting on.
This isn’t about forgetting your story.
It’s about not feeling consumed by it.
If you’re looking for EMDR or ART therapy for infertility, pregnancy loss support, or a more focused approach through a therapy intensive, I’d be honored to support you.
